Frequently asked questions
Why do I need a Financial Advisor?
A Financial Advisor assists you in setting and achieving financial goals, giving you the confidence that your future plans are within reach. If you feel you’re not on track to meet your goals, an advisor can help you develop effective strategies or help you adjust your goals to be more attainable. Furthermore, a financial advisor can help you live your best life now, while having peace of mind that your future is also protected.
What does a Financial Advisor do?
A financial advisor can help you make financial and lifestyle decisions for the now and also plan for the future. They provide advice and management on whatever aspect of your financial life you need help with. At Coastline Advice, we can help you save for long-term goals such as retirement, or short-term goals such as a family holiday.
What is the difference between a Financial Adviser, an Accountant and a Mortgage Broker?
Financial Advisors are professionals who help individuals and families make informed decisions about their personal or professional finance and lifestyle goals. At Coastline Advice we offer a wholistic approach that provides advice on a range of financial matters, including investments, retirement planning, insurance and superannuation.
Mortgage Brokers will assist you in getting a loan, refinancing or building your property portfolio. Coastline Advice Mortgage Brokers will evaluate your needs, calculate your borrowing power, compare your home loans options, get pre-approval and offer support and advice.
An Accountant can be a very broad role; however, they are usually there to help you submit your tax return and ensure you or your business is compliant with tax laws. While accountants can offer general financial tips, this does not constitute financial advice. They are not familiar with your specific situation or goals and cannot be held accountable if their advice leads to any negative outcomes.
When should I start seeing a Financial Advisor?
One of the most common myths in financial advice is that you need to have money before you see an adviser. We challenge this regularly, because laying the foundation is the most important step.
Having the conversation sooner rather than later gives you the opportunity to learn more about the options available to you and inspires you to see what’s required to achieve your goals.
Starting with a little bit now can create a big difference for your future, and compounding growth is one of the key benefits of having time on your side.
What does seeing a Coastline Financial Advisor cost?
At Coastline Advice, we offer a 15-minute Clarity Call at no charge. In this phone call, we determine your needs and explain how we can help you.
If you feel we are the right fit for you, we then offer an Initial meeting at a cost of $440 inc. of GST. This 60-90 minute meeting is designed to gain a more in-depth understanding of you, your goals, and your current financial position.
After learning more about you, your Adviser will discuss professional costs with you.
How is Coastline Advice different to other advisers?
Our unwavering commitment to the financial prosperity and overall wellbeing of our clients and community sets us apart. What truly distinguishes us is the dedicated time and effort we invest in comprehending each client’s unique needs, aspirations, goals, and potential, all while assessing and mitigating any associated risks.
