Profile

In 2002, Darryn had a vision to create a business with the absolute focus on the financial well-being and livelihoods of people within his community. Founding Coastline Advice from a small office in Anglesea, Darryn’s unwavering passion for financial planning saw the business quickly expand into Torquay, Wonthaggi and Barwon Heads. As the Practice Principal and a Senior Financial Adviser, he is in demand but always finds time to connect and inspire both clients and the Coastline team to achieve their best in every aspect of life, personally and professionally.

From the beginning Darryn maintained that conversations with clients should be focused on their goals in life – big or small, realistic or seemingly impossible. This goals-focused approach was identified by AMP (Australia’s largest licensee) when he was chosen as a consultant to collaborate in a transformation project to help improve financial advice for more Australians. His passion for positive change and commitment to his clients has seen Darryn and the business earn multiple prestigious awards including Astrum’s esteemed Large Practice of the Year award in 2022, and 2023 runner up. In 2023, Darryn attended a weeklong intensive Business Leadership Course at Harvard University, with this being one of the highlights of his career.

Living in Fairhaven, there’s certainly not much downtime outside of the business with a trio of busy kids at home. Work/life balance has always been a priority, and challenge, for Darryn and even though he manages to regularly tick off some of his own personal goals just like he inspires clients to do, there’s still a lifetime of travel, surf, and adventures to fulfil, so he’ll be at it for a while yet!
